Michael Watts Weekly Post #14

Jose Ramos is a 29 year old photographer from Portugal who photographs primarily water and landscapes of his home country.  He says that he is trying to capture and depict his own vision of the world that we live in and is using photography as a tool to do so.  He captures awe inspiring images of countrysides, seascapes, and small towns alike.  His photos contain a vast amount of color and it is clear that he uses longer exposures in many of his pictures.  I chose this photographer for this weeks blog post because he is achieving many of the things that I am hoping to achieve moving into the final project of the year.  His photos have a definite sense of vastness that help the viewer to come closer to experiencing what it is to actually be there.  These are some of the things that i am trying to communicate with my photos moving into the final part of the semester.
